dc.description.abstractAlthough, in children, foreign body aspirations arefrequently seen, in adults they are rarely seen. Theaspirated foreign bodies usually settle into the noseand ear, also less frequently localization site is theoropharynx. A foreign body can cause symptoms suchas dysphagia, unilateral bloody nasal discharge andrespiratory disorders according to its localization.They sometimes require immediate treatment.Submucosal localizations of a foreign body is seenrarely. Although, aspirated foreign bodies aregenerally in small size, they can sometimes be rigid,traumatic and larger materials which are hard toaspire. In this article, the clinical condition of an adultmale patient, after consumption of honey, dependingon the submucosal settlement of a metal wirebelonging to honey comb, is presented.Oropharyngealforeign bodies are removed under local anesthesiawith endoscopic methods in outpatient clinicconditions; also they are extracted under generalanesthesia with direct laryngoscopy in difficult cases,like our patient.
