In this study; engineering properties of rocks that observed cut slopes of ongoing construction of the Kemerhisar - Eminlik (312 +550 - 335 +550) segment of the Ankara - Pozantı motorway were determined. Stability analyses of problematic slope were performed. Measures to be taken were detailed to eliminate determined problems. Detailed geological lateral sections, sampling for laboratory studies, detailed examination of the rock discontinues surface (dip and dip direction measurements, tilt tests, surface roughness profiles etc.,), and Schmidt hammer hardness values were determined in the context of area study.Laboratory tests were carried out determine unite weight, point load strength index, shear strength parameters of the discontinuities and internal parameters (C and Ø) of rock unites. In the context of desk study; datas were evaluated using computer software, kinematic analyses of slopes were applied. In the study area tuff, flysch, agglomerate, basalt, spilitic basalt, pillow lavas and quaternary deposits are exposed. Observed alteration degree of rocks greatly different from each other in open cut, this situation negatively affects the stability of slopes has been completed manufacture. According to conclusions of field observation, laboratory tests and kinematical analyses; any stability problems are not expected at open cut in two of fourteen. Some stability problems (mainly to sliding wedge, planar slip, overthrow of rock, and debris flow rounding) are expected at the other open cuts.In this study, stability problems and measures that can be taken against these problems are divided into three. The first is the problem of small - scale rock fall, the second is the problem of falling stone from slope surface, the third is the problem of possible to the wholesale collapse. Taking some measures such as bolt, plate type injection anchoring, shotcrete, steel wire mesh and digging drainage trenches purposed to eliminate those problems.
