Sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının etkili vatandaşlık yeterliklerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Özet
Gerçekleştirilen bu araştırmada sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının etkili vatandaşlık yeterliklerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim döneminde, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği bölümünde eğitimlerine devam eden 129 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarının 90'ı kadın, 39'u erkektir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Sağlam (2011) tarafından geliştirilen 'Etkili Vatandaşlık Yeterlikleri Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS 21 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular tablolar ile sunulmuş ve alanyazın taranarak tartışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının etkili vatandaşlık yeterliklerinde cinsiyet değişkeni açısından anlamlı fark olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu fark kadın öğretmen adayları lehinedir. Araştırmada 1.sınıfta öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının etkili vatandaşlık yeterliklerine ilişkin tutumlarının en düşük olduğu,3.ve 4. Sınıfta öğrenim görenlerin ise en yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yaş, anne-baba eğitim düzeyi, anne-baba çalışma durumu değişkenlerinde anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde mezun olunan lise türünde etkili vatandaşlık yeterlikleri fen lisesi ve Anadolu öğretmen lisesi mezunlarında yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda öneriler sunulmuştur.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the effective citizenship competencies of social studies teacher candidates in terms of various variables. The research is in scanning model. The study group of the research consists of 129 teacher candidates who continue their education in Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Faculty of Education, Department of Social Studies Education in the 2022-2023 academic year. 90 of the teacher candidates are female and 39 of them are male. The 'Effective Citizenship Competencies Scale' developed by Sağlam (2011) was used as a data collection tool in the research. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21 package program. The findings are presented with tables and discussed by scanning the literature. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the effective citizenship competencies of social studies teacher candidates in terms of gender variable. This difference is in favor of female teacher candidates. In the study, it was determined that the first-year teacher candidates' attitudes towards effective citizenship competencies were the lowest, and the third and fourth-grade students were the highest. It was determined that there was no significant difference in the variables of age, parental education level, and parental employment status. When the results of the research were evaluated, it was seen that effective citizenship competencies in the type of high school graduated were higher in science high school and Anatolian teacher high school graduates. Suggestions were made in line with the research findings.
