Abstract
Günümüzde otomotiv sektörü, gelişmiş ve hatta gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomileri için "anahtar" rolünü oynamaktadır. Güçlü bir otomotiv sektörü, sanayileşmiş ülkelerin ortak özelliklerinden biri olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Otomotiv sektörünün bu denli bir öneme sahip olmasının başlıca nedeni, sektörün diğer sektörlerle olan yakın ilişki içerisinde olmasıdır. Osmanlı Döneminde 1895 yılında ilk kez Türk halkının hayatına giren otomobil, o günden bugüne önemli gelişmeler kaydetmiştir. Dünyada yaşanan küreselleşme sürecinde, Türk otomotiv endüstrisi dünyanın sayılı otomotiv endüstrileri arasında yerini almış ve son dönemde Türkiye'nin ihracat şampiyonu olma başarısını elde etmiştir. Gerek ülke ekonomisine katkısı, gerekse birçok farklı sektöre öncülük eden otomotiv sektörü, önemli sektörlerden biri haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmanın Türk otomotiv sanayisinin Avrupa Birliği' nde bilinirliği ve rekabet edebilirliğini otomotiv yan sanayi üzerinden belirlemektir.
In our age, automobile industry play a key role in economies of developed an even developing countries. A powerful automobile industry is one of the common aspects of industrilized countries. The main reason for automobile industry's having such an importance is that it is in close relationship with other industries. The aoutomobile that was met with Turkish people for the first time in 1895, during Ottoman Empire, has developed significantly. As the world getting more global, Turkish aoutomobile industry has become the one of the distinguished automobile industries and has lately succeeded in becoming the top product of export. It became one of the important industries not only by contributing to Turkish economy but also by helping other industries grow bigger. In this study the competitiveness of Turkish automotive industry and automotive industry recognition through the European Union to determine.
