dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin müzik-müzik dersi ve müzik öğretmeni kavramlarına ilişkin algılarının metaforlar aracılığıyla incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu, 2014-2015 eğitim-öğretim yılında Niğde ili merkez ilçesindeki ortaokul 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarda öğrenim görmekte olan 972 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Bu evreni temsil edebilecek örneklemin belirlenmesinde basit seçkisiz örnekleme yolu kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın verileri, örneklem grubu öğrencilerinin müzik, müzik dersi ve müzik öğretmeni kavramlarına ilişkin sahip oldukları metaforları ortaya koymak amacıyla "Müzik… gibidir. Çünkü… ", "Müzik dersi… gibidir. Çünkü… " ve "Müzik öğretmeni… gibidir. Çünkü… " ifadelerini tamamlamaları istenen bir form aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri, Saban'ın (2008) araştırmasındaki verileri analiz etme yolu örnek alınarak analiz edilmiştir. Buna göre araştırmada elde edilen veriler beş aşamada analiz edilmiştir. Bu aşamalar: geçerli metaforların kodlanması ve geçersiz metaforların ayıklanma aşaması, örnek metafor ifadelerini derleme aşaması, temalara göre kategori geliştirme aşaması, geçerlik ve güvenirliği sağlama aşaması ve nitel verilerin nicel verilere dönüştürülerek SPSS programı aracılığıyla analiz edilme aşamasıdır. Araştırma sonucunda müzik kavramına ait kategorilerden "güven verici bir unsur olarak müzik" (f=296), "sağlık verici bir unsur olarak müzik" (f=240), "vazgeçilmez bir unsur olarak müzik" (f=132) ve "hissettiren sezdiren bir unsur olarak müzik" (f=131) kategorilerinin en fazla öğrencinin temsil ettiği kategoriler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Müzik dersine ilişkin kavramsal kategorilerden de "eğlendirici bir unsur olarak müzik dersi" (f=572), "başarının farklı yeterliklere bağlı olduğu bir ders olarak müzik dersi" (f=96), "arındıran, rahatlatan ve dinlendiren bir unsur olarak müzik dersi" (f=81) ile "zengin öğrenme durumlarını içeren bir unsur olarak müzik dersi" (f=60) kategorilerinin öğrencilerin en sık katılım gösterdiği kategoriler olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Müzik öğretmeni kavramına ilişkin kavramsal kategorilerden de öne çıkan kategorilerin "seven, güven veren ve koruyan bir kişi olarak müzik öğretmeni" (f=246), "sanatçı kişiliği ile müzik öğretmeni" (f=224), "bilgi kaynağı bir kişi olarak müzik öğretmeni" (f=105) ve "hayranlık duyulan bir kişi olarak müzik öğretmeni" (f=96) olduğu bulunmuştur.
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions related to concepts of music-music lesson and music teacher through the metaphors. The sample group of the survey comprises 972 students in 5th, 6th,7th and 8th grade in secondary school in the central district of Niğde Province in 2014-2015 School Year. In this study, the random sampling method has been used to determine the sample that could represent the population. The data of this study has been obtained through the form in which students were required to complete expressions such as ''Music is like... Because ... ","Music lesson is like... Because ... "and" Music teacher is like ... Because ... "with a view to revealing the metaphors regarding sample student group's perception of music-music lesson and music teacher. Research data has been analysed by taking Saban's model (2008) as an example. Accordingly, the data obtained in this study has been analysed in five stages. These stages are: the coding of the current metaphors and elimination phase of invalid metaphor expressions, the compilation stage of example metaphors, the category development stage according to the themes, the stage supplying validity and reliability and the analysing stage of qualitative data transformed into quantitative data through SPSS programme. In this study, the categories which belong to musical concepts such as "music as an reassuring element" (f = 296), "music as a healthful element" (f = 240), "music as an indispensable element" (f = 132) and "music as elements of an evoker and a feeling of implication "(f = 131) have been the most prominent ones that students represent. The conceptual categories related to music lesson such as "music lesson as an entertaining element" (f = 572), "music lesson as a course in which success depends on different competency " (f = 96), "music lesson as purifying, comforting and soothing element (f = 81) and the "music lesson as an element containing rich learning situations" (f = 60) has been identified as the most common categories students have participated the most. The prominent ones in conceptual categories related to music teacher concept are found such as the following; ''music teacher is a person who is loving, trustful and caring " (f = 246), "music teacher is a person who has artistic personality traits" (f = 224), "Music teacher is a source of information as a person "(f = 105) and" music teacher is a person who is admired "(f = 96).
