İlköğretim öğretmen adaylarının çevresel tutum ve çevre bilgi düzeyleri üzerine bir çalışma

Özet
Dünyada 1970'lerden sonra giderek artan, çevreye karşı gösterilen ilgi ülkemizde 1980'lerden sonra yaşanmaya başlamıştır. İlginin, olumlu tutum ve davranışa dönüştürülebilmesi ancak çevreye karşı bilinçlenme ile olacaktır. Bilinçlen¬menin yolu ise çevre eğitiminden geçmektedir. Bu araştırmada İlköğretim Fen Bilgisi, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Sınıf Öğretmenliği programlarında bulunan öğretmen adaylarının çevreye yönelik tutumları ve çevre bilgi puanları belirlenmeye çalışılmış olup; genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Niğde Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören 584'ü Sınıf, 559'u Sosyal Bilgiler, 290'ı Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği öğrencisi olmak üzere toplam 1433 öğrenci oluşturmuş olup; örneklemini ise 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında Niğde Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören Sınıf, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Fen Bilgisi öğretmenliği 1-4.sınıflardan tabakalı örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen toplam 648 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda; öğretmen adaylarının çevreye yönelik tutum puanları cinsiyete, öğrenim gördükleri programa, çevre eğitimi dersi alıp almamalarına, mezun oldukları lise türüne ve bulundukları sınıf düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilgi puanlarının cinsiyete, çevre eğitimi dersi alıp almamalarına ve bulundukları sınıf düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilgi puanları öğrenim gördükleri programa göre incelendiğinde Fen Bilgisi öğretmen adayları lehine anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Öğretmen adaylarının mezun oldukları lise türüne göre çevre bilgi puanları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Çevre, Çevre Bilinci, Çevre Eğitimi
In the world after the 1970s, interest increasingly shown towards the environment has also been shown in Turkey, especially after the 1980s. The attention of people can be turned into a positive perception and attitude in condition of environmental care awareness. The path to that awareness passes through environmental education. In the study, Elementary Science, Social Studies and Primary School candidate teachers' attitude towards the environment and their environmental knowledge have been recognized to determine their level of perception of nature; general screening model was used on this process. The universe of study is consisted of 2011-2012 academic year the Nigde University Faculty of Education students; 584 of them from primary school teaching department, 559 from Social Science teaching department, 290 from Science teaching department, in a total of 1,433 students are being included in the process ; the sample of the study is consisted of 648 students from Nigde University Faculty of Education in the academic year 2011-2012 in primary teaching department, Social Studies teaching and Science teaching department. All the participants are selected with stratified sampling method from 1st to 4th graders of the departments mentioned above. As a result of the research; it is indicated that the score of environmental attitude of training teachers doesn't differ considerably in relation with their gender, study, environmental education, the type of high school which they graduated from and their study grade. Meanwhile, it is also indicated that environmental knowledge of training teachers doesn't vary considerably related to their gender, environmental education and study grade. On the other side, it is apparently seen in the result of the research that environmental knowledge score of the science study teachers, in favor of them, shows respectable variety. Also environmental knowledge score of training teachers varies considerably according to the types of high schools which they graduated from.
