Özet
Bu araştırma, "Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretiminde Çizgi Filmlerin Kullanımı" adıyla hazırlanan bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın temel amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler öğretimde çizgi filmlerin kullanımının öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına etkisinin belirlenmesi ve değerlendirilmesidir. Sosyal Bilgiler öğretiminde çizgi film kullanmanın öğrencilerin akademik başarısına etkisini belirlemek için 7. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler programının içerisinde yer alan ? Ülkeler Arası Köprüler?, ünitesi ?Birinci Dünya Savaşı ve Çanakkale de Mustafa Kemal? konusu seçilmiş ve bu kapsama uygun olan Çanakkale Geçilmez çizgi filmi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel desen (ÖSKD) modelinde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma 2011?2012 öğretim yılı Niğde ili merkez ilçesi Cumhuriyet İlköğretim Okulu'nda, iki ayrı sınıfta 70 kişiden oluşan örneklem üzerinde öntest - sontest olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada 7. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler programında yer alan "Ülkeler Arası Köprüler", ünitesi "Birinci Dünya Savaşı ve Çanakkale de Mustafa Kemal" konusu deney grubuna öğretim materyali olarak çizgi film izletilmiş, kontrol grubuna ise çizgi film izletilmeden geleneksel yöntemle yani anlatım metodu kullanılarak ders anlatılmıştır. Araştırmada hedeflenen verilere ulaşabilmek adına "Ülkeler Arası Köprüler", "Birinci Dünya Savaşı ve Çanakkale de Mustafa Kemal" konusu kapsamı dahilinde araştırmacı tarafından, öntest ve son testinde uygulanmış olan dört seçenekli çoktan seçmeli 20 sorudan oluşan başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Başarı testinde OKS ve SBS de çıkmış sorulardan faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın alt problemleri SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz yorumlarında t testinden faydalanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde çizgi film izleterek ders işlemenin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını artırmada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
This thesis is named as "Using Cartoons in Teaching Social Sciences". The main aim of this study is to determine and evaluate the effect of the using cartoons in teaching social sciences on the academic achievement of the students.In order to evaluate the effect of the using cartoons in teaching social sciences, I.World War, "Mustafa Kemal is in Çanakkale" subject in the "Bridges Among Countries" unit, that is inclueded in the 7th grade Social Sciences Curriculum, was choosen and Çanakkale Geçilmez Film was watched with this aim.The study is designed with pre-test-post test control group experimental design. The study is carried out in Niğde Cumhuriyet Primary School at two different classes with 70 students in total as pre-test and post test in 2011-2012.During the study, I.World War, "Mustafa Kemal is in Çanakkale" subject in the "Bridges Among Countries" unit is taught by using cartoon as a teaching material on the experimental group, on the other hand, on the control group the traditional presentation method is used to explain the topic during the lesson. In order to reach the data targeted during the study, within the scope of the I.World War, "Mustafa Kemal is in Çanakkale" subject in the "Bridges Among Countries" unit, the researcher is used pre-test and post test method as an achievement test composing of 20 multiple choice questions with 4 options. In the achievement test the questions that is incleded in the OKS and SBS exam is also taken into account. The sub-problems of the study is analysed with SPSS Programe. During the interpretation of the analysis t-test is used. According to the result of the analysis; "watching and using cartoons in teaching social sciences lesson is effective on the academic achievement of the students" is drawn as a conclusion.
