dc.description.abstractYüksek lisans tez çalışması kapsamında, Danışman Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çopuroğlu’na ait özel koleksiyonundan seçilen kıymetli ve yarı kıymetli süstaşları ile Niğde ili içerisinde ticaret yapan mücevher dükkanlarında satışa sunulan, kıymetli süstaşlarından yapılmış yüzük, kolye ve küpelerin “Gemoloji İnceleme Yöntemleri” uygulanarak, bunların mineralojik, gemolojik özelliklerinin belirlenmesi ve tanıtılması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gemoloji (kıymetli taş bilimi); mücevherlerde kullanılan kıymetli taşların ve süs taşlarının tanımlanması ve sınıflandırılmasıdır. Taşların oluşumunu, çıktığı yerleri, fiziksel ve kimyasal özelliklerini inceler. Aynı zamanda sentetik, taklit ve işlem görmüş taşlar hakkında bilgi verir. Çalışma kapsamında, değerli taşların tanımlanması için kullanılan yöntemler ve cihazlar; refraktometre, özgül ağırlık (yoğunluk testi), sertlik, stereo mikroskop, UV lambası, chelsea filtresi, spektroskop ve polariskopdan oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen ölçüm değerleri, internet sitesindeki “Databank” formuna girilerek ilgili minerallerin tanımlanmaları yapılmıştır. Bunlar; Doğal elementler, silikat grubu mineraller, karbonat grubu mineraller ve fosfat grubu minerallerdir.
dc.description.abstractAs part of the master's thesis, "Gemology Study Methods" are applied to precious and semiprecious ornamental stones selected from the private collection of supervisor Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Çopuroğlu and rings, necklaces and earrings that are made from precious ornamental stones and sold in jewelry shops in Nigde province. Also, their mineralogical and gemological characteristics are determined and promoted. Gemology (precious stone science) is the identification and classification of precious stones ornamental stones. It examines the formation, source, physical properties and chemical properties of stones. It also provides information about synthetic, counterfeit and treated stones. Within the study, the methods and devices used for the identification of precious stones consist of refractometers, specific gravity (density test), hardness, stereo microscope, UV lamp, chelsea filter, which is made spectroscope and polariskopd. The relevant minerals are identified by entering the resulting measurement values into the "Databank" on the website. These are: Natural elements, silicate group minerals, carbonate group minerals and phosphate group minerals.
