| dc.description.abstract | Günlük yaşamımızda istatistiğin öneminin anlaşılması ve istatistiksel bilgilerin etkin bir şekilde kullanabilmesi içinde bulunduğumuz yüzyılda ihtiyaç duyulan bazı becerilere sahip olmayı gerekli kılmaktadır. Bu becerilerin geliştirilmesi için okullarda öğrencilere sunulan matematik öğretiminin içerik ve niteliği önemlidir. Son zamanlarda istatistiğin öğretilmesi ve öğrenilmesi üzerinde büyük bir etkisi olan önemli bir değişiklik bilgisayarların istatistik sınıflarına entegrasyonu olmuştur. Bu bağlamda ilgili araştırmada Veri İşleme Öğrenme Alanının bilgisayar destekli (VUstat yazılımı) etkinlikler ile öğretiminin 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarına ve kalıcılığa, derslerde teknolojinin kullanılmasına yönelik farkındalıklarına ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarına etkisini incelemek ve bu yazılımın öğretimde kullanılması hakkında öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Karma yöntemin kullanıldığı bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Nevşehir ili Acıgöl ilçesine bağlı bir devlet okulunda öğrenim görmekte olan 23'ü deney ve 22'si kontrol grubunda bulunan toplam 45 altıncı sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Deney grubunda matematik dersleri bilgisayar destekli (VUstat yazılımı ile) öğretim yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilmiş olup uygulama 3 hafta 21 ders saati boyunca yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Veri İşleme Başarı Testi, Derslerde Teknolojinin Kullanılmasına Yönelik Farkındalık Ölçeği, Matematiğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve yarı-yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Ölçeklerin ve başarı testinin güvenirlik çalışmalarında ve araştırma sorularının test edilmesinde SPSS 22.0 programından yararlanılmıştır. Anlamlılık düzeyi (p) 0.05 alınmıştır. Nitel veriler ise içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda VUstat yazılımı etkinliklerinin bilgilerin kalıcılığını sağlamada ve teknolojik farkındalık geliştirmede etkili olduğu ancak öğrencilerin başarı ve matematik dersine yönelik tutumları üzerinde etkili olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ek olarak, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin VUstat yazılımı ile işlenen dersleri öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırıcı, farklı becerilerin gelişimine olumlu yönde katkı sağlayıcı, eğlenceli, ekonomik buldukları ve matematik derslerini bilgisayar destekli etkinliklerle işlemek istedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. | dc.description.abstract | Understanding the importance of statistics in our daily lives and using statistical information effectively necessitate having some skills needed in the current century. In order to develop these skills, the content and quality of mathematics education offered to students in schools is important. An important change that has had an impact on the teaching and learning of statistics in recent times has been the integration of computers into statistics classrooms. In this context in the study, it was aimed to examine the effects of teaching Data Processing subject with VUstat activities on the academic achievement and permanence of 6th grade students, their awareness of using technology in lessons and their attitudes towards mathematics, and to determine students' opinions about the use of this software in teaching. The study group of this research, in which the mixed method was used, consists of a total of 45 sixth grade students, 23 of whom are in the experimental group and 22 in the control group, who are studying in a public school in the Acıgöl district of Nevşehir province in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. Mathematics lessons in the experimental group were carried out with computer aided (with VUstat software) teaching method and the application was carried out for 3 weeks and 21 lesson hours. Data Processing Achievement Test, Awareness Scale for Using Technology in Classes, Attitude Scale Towards Mathematics and semi-structured interview form were used as data collection tools. SPSS 22.0 program was used in the reliability studies of the scales and achievement test and testing the research questions. The significance level (p) was taken as 0.05. Qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis method. As a result of the research, it was revealed that VUstat software activities were effective in ensuring the permanence of information and developing technological awareness, but not on students' achievement and attitudes towards the mathematics lesson. In addition, it was concluded that the students in the experimental group found the lessons taught with the VUstat to facilitate learning, contribute positively to the development of different skills, were fun, economical, and wanted to teach mathematics lessons with computer-assisted activities.
