Özet
Üzümsü meyve türleri içinde dünyada üretimi ve ticareti en hızlı artan tür maviyemiştir. Anavatanı Amerika kıtası olan maviyemişin yetiştiriciliğinde kullanılan çeşitler ya üç tür ya da bunların melezlerinden geliştirilmiştir. Kültürü yapılan üç tür: Vaccinium corymbosum L. (Yüksek boylu maviyemiş), Vaccinium ashei Reade (tavşan gözü maviyemiş) ve Vaccinium angustifolium Ait. (Alçak boylu maviyemiş) türleridir. Ülkemiz florasında da Vaccinium cinsine ait V. arctostaphylos, V. myrtillus, V. uliginosum ve V. vitis-idaea, türleri bulunmaktadır. Ülkemiz florasında bulunan bu türler Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi'ne düzenlenen örnekleme gezilerinde incelenmiş ve türler morfolojik olarak karakterize edilmiştir. Bu türlerin bir yetiştiricilik sezonu içinde birden fazla çiçeklenme gibi bazı bahçe bitkileri özellikleri bakımından maviyemiş çeşit geliştirilmesi çalışmalarında kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir.
Blueberry is the fastest growing berry species in the world in terms of production and trade. The blueberry is native to America and varieties used in the cultivation have been developed from three cultivated species or have more complex pedigrees. Cultured three species are: Vaccinium corymbosum L. (highbush), Vaccinium ashei Reade (rabbit eye) and Vaccinium angustifolium Ait. (lowbush). In Turkish flora, there are V. arctostaphylos, V. myrtillus, V. uliginosum and V. vitis-idaea, species belonging to Vaccinium genus. These species found in the flora of our country were examined during sampling visits to the Eastern Black Sea Region and the species were morphologically characterized. It has been determined that these species can be utilized in blueberry variety development for several horticulturally important characteristics including the multiple-flowering within a growing season.
