Özet
The rapid change and transformation we experience in this century makes its effect evident on the field of education as in every field. In this process, the contents of curriculums are provided with various contents and applications thought to be the necessities of the time. However, history lessons, which have been among the essential parts of educational systems from past to present, seem not to be affected enough by these changes and transformations. It is seen in this study that, as stated through various examples, there are different reasons for the fact that history education has been unable to realize its transformation. In the study, some practices which are thought to be necessary in history education were discussed in terms of their possible benefits in the event that they exist in the learning-teaching process. In this context, it is aimed to answer possible questions in the readers’ minds by drawing up some practices with various contents under sub-titles. The suggestions made in the study were prepared in line with the purpose to offer solutions to the problems about history education from different points of view.
