Özet
Bu araştırma, Fiziki Coğrafya konularının öğretiminde arazi çalışmasının öğretmen adaylarının akademik başarılarına etkisini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Fiziki coğrafya konularının öğretiminde arazi çalışması uygulamasının yapılmasının öğretmen adaylarının akademik başarısına etkisini belirlemek için Genel Fiziki Coğrafya konuları içerisinde yer alan ?Dünyanın Yapısı, Jeolojik Zamanlar ve Yüzey Şekilleri? bölümleri seçilmiş ve bu bölümlerle ilgili öğretmen adaylarına uygulanmak üzere başarı testi hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulaması Niğde Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği ve Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Ana Bilim Dallarında okuyan öğretmen adaylarına ön test ? son test olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada konular deney grubuna arazi çalışması uygulanarak anlatılmış, kontrol grubuna ise geleneksel yöntem olan düz anlatım yöntemi kullanılarak anlatılmıştır. Araştırmada hedeflenen verilere ulaşabilmek adına ?Dünyanın Yapısı, Jeolojik Zamanlar ve Yüzey Şekilleri? bölümleri kapsamı dahilinde uzman görüşleri çerçevesinde araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanmış, aynı zamanda araştırmanın ön test ve son testinde uygulanmış olan beş seçenekli çoktan seçmeli 25 sorudan oluşan başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca öğretmen adaylarının coğrafyaya karşı tutumlarını ölçmek ve öğretmen adaylarının arazi çalışması hakkındaki görüşlerini almak üzere anket ve tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın alt problemleri SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz yorumlarında t- testinden faydalanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre fiziki coğrafya konularının öğretiminde arazi çalışmasının yapılması öğretmen adaylarının akademik başarılarını artırmada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
This research aim to show the effects of dield survey on success of teacher trainees teaching issues of physical geography. To evalute the effects of field survey on success of teacher trainees? teaching issues of physical geography, ?Structure of Earth, Geologic Time and Landform Structures? issues which are among the issues of Common Physical Geography are chosen and achievement test to be implemented on teacher trainees is prepared. Implementation of research was applied of teacher trainees of Nigde University, Faculty of Education, Departmen of Social Studies Education and Science Education as ?preparation test? and ?final test?. In this research matter were applred to experimental group by using method. To reach the aim of this research, ?preparation test? and ?final test? on ?Structure of Earth, Geologic Time and Surface Structures? topich were implemented by researcher in the light of expert opinions and these test consist of 25 questions and 5 options for each one.To evaluate of the teacher trainee?s attitudes on Geography, a poll and attitude scale were applied. The minor problems of research were analyzed by using SPSS program. In the Interpretation of analyses, t- test was used. According to analyses results, it is deduced that using of field survey on teachging phsysical geography topics is very effective method on improving of academic success of teacher trainees.
