Özet
Tanzimat dönemiyle başlayan batılılaşma; sosyal, siyasi, idari, ekonomik alanların yanı sıra sanatı ve sanatın bir dalı olan edebiyatımızı da etkilemiştir. Batı etkisinde gelişen Türk edebiyatı döneminde ilk olarak Tanzimat Edebiyatı'nda roman örnekleri verilmiştir. Türk edebiyatında ilk defa roman örnekleri denendiği için teknik bakımdan sorunlu romanlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Servet-i Fünûn dönemiyle Batı tekniğine uygun yazılmaya başlanan romanlar Cumhuriyet edebiyatı döneminde büyük gelişme göstermiştir. Bu dönem içerisinde halk bilimi unsurlarına da yazarlarımızın romanlarında fazlaca yer ve önem verdiğini görürüz. Akademik kimliğiyle birlikte yazarlığı bir arada yürüten Nazan Bekiroğlu, bu durumdan olumsuz etkilenmemiş hatta roman tekniğine daha hâkim olmasını sağlamıştır. Dünya edebiyatını yakından takip eden yazar, eserlerinde evrensel niteliklerden ve ölçütlerden geri durmayan bir çizgi belirlemiştir. Evrenselliğe odaklanıp kendi toplumuna yabancılaşmamış bilakis Trabzon eksenli hayatında bu şehir başta olmak üzere sadece Anadolu'yu değil Türk'ün yaşadığı her yeri mekân olarak belirlemiştir. Yazar, Türk halkının yaşantısını, inançlarını, kültürel unsurlarını fazlaca irdelemiş, eserlerinde fazlaca yer vermekten geri durmamıştır. Güzelliğe merak duyan, onun peşinden koşan Bekiroğlu; estetik ve içerik dengesini gözeterek folklorik öğeleri fazlaca kullanmış, Türk edebiyatında ayrı bir yer edinmiştir.
Westernization,starting with Tanzimat Reform Era, effects art and literature that is one of the branches of art as well as social, governmental, political and economic areas. In Turkish Literature Era, progressing because of Westernization, as a beginning, novel samples are given in Tanzimat Literature. As a result of being tried for the first time, novels have problems about technical maintenance. Novels that are written proper to the western technic make progress in Republic Literature. It is obvious that our authors use and care folkloric items in their novels at that period. Nazan Bekiroğlu, an author and also an academician, is not effected negatively from this situation. Moreover, she possesses novel technique more. She is following the world literature closely, on the other hand, she is writing her novels according to the world wide quality and standards. In spite of focusing on the universality, she is not alienated from her own society. On the contrary, she determines not only Anatolia but also every city where Turks live in as a place. She mostly scrutinises and uses life styles, beliefs and cultural items of Turkish people on her novels. Nazan Bekiroğlu, who is interested in beauty and tries to catch it, uses folkloric items so much and by regarding the balance of esthetics and context, she has an important effect in Turkish literature.
