Özet
Bu çalışmada okuma güçlüğü yaşayan ilkokul dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarılarının ve okul davranışlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, öğretmen görüşleri ve Yanlış Analiz Envanterine göre okuma güçlüğü belirlenmiş 5 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırma nitel araştırma geleneği içinde yer alan durum deseninde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında gözlem, görüşme ve doküman incelemesi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca akademik başarılarına ait veriler e-okul sistemindeki notlarından elde edilmiştir. Okuma başarısı ise öğrencilerin sesli okuma ve okuduğunu anlama ölçüm sonuçlarına göre değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda okuma güçlüğü yaşayan çocukların akademik başarılarının da düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca okuma güçlüğü yaşayan öğrencilerin sınıf içi ve sınıf dışı davranışlar, okul ortamı, öğrenme etkinlikleri ve uyum açısından sorunlar yaşadığı görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonuçları ilgili alan yazında tartışılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to determine academic achievements and school behaviours of elemantary school 4th grade students who have reading difficulty. The research is conduted on five students who are identified to have reading difficulty according to Error Analysis Inventory and teacher's opinions. The study is performed in case study taking part in qualitative research pattern. Observation, interview and document analysis techniques are used to collcet data. Also data belonging academic achievement are got from the grades in e- school system. Reading success is evaluated according to the measurement results of oral reading and reading comprehension. At the and of research it is determined that children living reading difficulty have low academic achievement. Also it is seen that students living reading difficulty are having problems at the learning activites in the class, school enviroment and out of the class. The results of of the research are discussed in related literature.
