dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın temel amacı, tamamlayıcı bir ölçme değerlendirme tekniği olan Kelime İlişkilendirme Testi aracılığıyla 6.sınıf öğrencilerinin doğal afetlere yönelik bilişsel yapılarını ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Kayseri ili İncesu ilçesinde bulunan Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı dört ortaokulda öğrenim gören 300 6.sınıf öğrencisi (140 erkek-160 kız) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kelime ilişkilendirme testi (KİT) kullanılmıştır. Testi oluşturmak amacıyla doğal afetleri oluşturan sekiz tane anahtar kavram(deprem, sel, kuraklık, erozyon, heyelan, çığ, orman yangını, tsunami) seçilmiştir. Test sonucunda elde edilen verilerden hareketle bir frekans tablosu oluşturulmuştur. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre KİT'te bulunan doğal afetlerden çığ, sel, heyelan ve deprem anahtar kavramlarını 200 ve üzeri öğrenci çeşitli kelimelerle ilişkilendirmiştir. Bütün doğal afetler sonucunda üretilen cevap kavramlara bakıldığında ölüm cevabı ortak cevap olmuştur. Deprem anahtar kavramı sonucunda Van ve Kızılay cevap kavramları ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu da öğrencilerin güncel olayları takip ettiğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin yapılan bu çalışma sonucunda erozyon anahtar kavramını toprak kayması ve kayma kelimeleri ile ilişkilendirdiği görülmüştür. Bu da öğrencilerin erozyon kavramına yönelik kavram yanılgısı yaşadığını göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, kelime ilişkilendirme testinin bilişsel yapıyı ortaya çıkarmada ve kavram yanılgılarını tespit etmede etkili bir teknik olduğu söylenebilir. Bu amaçla, yapılacak olan çalışmaların sayısının arttırılması önerilmektedir.
dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this study is to reveal the cognitive structures of 6th grade students towards natural disasters through the Word Correlation Test which is a complementary measurement and evaluation technique. The study group consisted of 300 6th grade students (140 boys-160 girls) who were studying in four secondary schools in the province of İncesu in the province of Kayseri. The word association test (SEE) was used in the study. Eight key concepts (earthquakes, floods, droughts, erosion, landslides, avalanches, forest fires, tsunamis) were selected to generate the test. Based on the data obtained from the test, a frequency table was created. According to the results of the study, 200 and more students related to the concepts of avalanche, flood, landslide and earthquake from natural disasters in the SEE were associated with various words. When we look at the answer concepts produced as a result of all natural disasters, the death response was the common answer. Van and Red Crescent response concepts emerged as a result of the earthquake key concept. This shows that students follow current events. In addition, it was observed that the students attributed the concept of erosion to landslide and slip. This shows that students experience a misconception about erosion. In conclusion, it can be said that the word association test is an effective technique to reveal the cognitive structure and to identify misconceptions. For this purpose, it is recommended to increase the number of studies.
