Özet
Bu çalışma ile, ortaokul öğrencilerinin çevre sorunları algılarının karikatür yoluyla belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2016/2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının 2. yarıyılında Niğde ilinde bulunan 8 Ortaokulda öğrenim gören 500 7. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak 7 çevre sorununa ilişin ikişer toplamda 14 karikatürden oluşan çalışma yaprağı kullanılmıştır. Çalışma yaprağında 3 adet soru ile verilen çevre sorununa ilişkin öğrenci algıları, öğrencilerin sorunu tespit etme düzeyleri ve soruna ilişkin çözüm önerileri incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda verilen cevaplara ilişkin ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri karşılaştırılarak farklı kategoriler altında gruplandırılmış ve tablo haline getirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin verilen tüm karikatürlerdeki çevre sorunlarına ilişkin cevaplar incelendiğinde öğrencilerin genel anlamda %50'den fazlasının çevre sorunlarına ilişkin doğru algıya sahip oldukları, sorunları doğru tespit edebildikleri ve sorunlara doğru öneriler getirebildikleri söylenebilir. Bu sonuçta bize öğrencilerin farklı konulara ilişkin algılarını tespit etmede karikatürün etkili bir araç olduğu sonucunu vermektedir. Bu çalışmada çevre ortaokul öğrencilerinin çevre sorunları algılarını tespit etmede karikatür kullanılmıştır. Farklı konu ve farklı sınıf düzeylerinde algı belirlemede karikatürlerden yararlanılabilir.
With this study, it is aimed to determine the perception of environmental problems of middle school students through cartoon. In the study, case study was used from qualitative research methods. The study group of the study is composed of 500 seventh grade students who are studying at 8 secondary schools in Niğde in the second semester of 2016/2017 academic year. As a means of data collection in the study, a total of 14 caricatures were used for the 7 environmental problems. The student perceptions about the environmental problem given by 3 questions in the study sheet, the level of the students' problem determination and the solution proposal for the problem were examined. At the end of the study, students' opinions regarding the answers given were compared and grouped under different categories and tabulated. When the answers to the environmental problems of all the cartoons given by the students are examined, it can be said that more than 50% of the students in general have the right perception about the environmental problems, can correctly identify the problems and can make correct suggestions to the problems. This ultimately leads us to conclude that the caricature is an effective tool for students to detect perceptions of different subjects. In this study, cartoons were used to determine the perception of environmental problems of environmental secondary school students. Caricatures can be used to determine perception at different subjects and different levels of the classroom.
