Ulusal Tez Merkezi'nde ortaokul öğrencilerinin matematikte problem çözme üzerine yapılan tezlerin incelenmesi

Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Ulusal Tez Merkezi'nde yayımlanmış ortaokul öğrencileri üzerine uygulanmış olan problem çözmeyle alakalı tezlerin betimsel içerik analizinin yapılıp genel eğilimlerinin belirlenmesidir. Ulusal Tez Merkezi'nde yayımlanmış olan matematikte problem çözmeyle alakalı ilk tezin yayım yılı 2000 yılı olmuş, son tez ise 2021 yılı aralık ayına kadar olan tezler incelenip 101 çalışmaya ulaşılmıştır. Bulunan tezlerin her biri ise tez inceleme formuyla tek tek değerlendirilip incelenerek kayıt altına alınmıştır. İlgili tezler; tezin yayımlandığı tarih, yayımlandığı üniversite, örneklem türü, örneklem büyüklüğü, örnekleme belirleme tekniği, araştırma yöntemi araştırma deseni, yayımlandığı anabilim dalı, yayımlandığı enstitü, tez danışmanının unvanı, tezde kullanılan veri toplama araçları, tezde kullanılan veri analiz yöntemleri, tezlerin konuları ve tezlerde ulaşılmış olan sonuçlar olarak analiz edilmiştir. Excel programı kullanılarak formda elde edilmiş olan her bir kategorinin frekans ve yüzde hesapları yapılmıştır. Buradan ulaşılan sonuçlar tablolar halinde elde edildikten sonra grafik ve şekillerle sunulmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre; en çok çalışmanın 2019 yılında yapıldığı, yüksek lisans çalışmalarının doktora çalışmalarından fazla olduğu bulunmuştur. Marmara Üniversitesinde en çok tezin yayımlandığına, amaçlı örnekleme yönteminin en fazla kullanılarak, 7. Sınıf öğrencileri üzerinde en fazla çalışılmanın yapılmış olup 0-100 arası örneklemin en fazla tercih edildiği görülmüştür. Nicel araştırma yöntemleri en fazla kullanılmış olup tarama çalışmaları da en çok tercih edilen araştırma deseni olmuştur. Ayrıca problem çözme stratejileri ve üstbiliş becerileri de en çok çalışılan konular olmuştur. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar ile matematikte problem çözmeyle alakalı tezlerin eğilimlerini görme açısından yarar sağlanacağı, bu çalışmanın kullanılarak matematikte PÇ üzerine çalışma yapacak olanlara veya bu konuyla alakalı bütüncül bir bakış açısı elde etmek isteyenlere rehber olabileceği düşünülmüştür.
The aim of this study is to determine the general tendencies of the theses related to problem solving in mathematics, which were published in the Higher Education Council Thesis Center, and applied on secondary school students. The first thesis on problem solving in mathematics published in YÖK Thesis was published in 2000, and the last thesis was examined until December 2021 and 101 studies were reached. Each of these theses found was evaluated and examined one by one with the thesis examination form and recorded. Related theses; are analyzed according to the date the thesis was published, the university it was published in, the type of sample, the sample size, the sampling determination technique, the research method research design, the department in which it was published, the institute in which it was published, the title of the thesis advisor, the data collection tools used in the thesis, the data analysis methods used in the thesis, the topics of the theses and the reached results in the theses. Frequency and percentage calculations were made for each category obtained in the form using the Excel program. The results obtained from here are presented in charts and figures after being obtained in tables. According to the results of the research; It was found that most of the studies were done in 2019, and postgraduate studies were more than doctoral studies. It has been seen that the most thesis was published in Marmara University, the purposeful sampling method was used the most, the 7th grade students are studied the most, and the sample between 0-100 is the most preferred. Quantitative research methods have been used the most, and survey studies have been the most preferred research design. In addition, problem solving strategies and metacognitive skills are the most studied subjects. It is thought that the results obtained from the study will be beneficial in terms of seeing the tendencies of the theses related to problem solving in mathematics, and that this study can be a guide for those who will work on problem solving in mathematics or those who want to obtain a holistic perspective on this subject.
