| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada, disleksi tanılı öğrencilerin okuma akıcılığının ve okuduğunu anlama becerilerinin arttırılmasında OpenDyslexic yazı tipinin etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu amaç dahilinde; a) OpenDyslexic fontun okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin sesli okuma hızının artırılmasındaki etkisine, b) OpenDyslexic fontun okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin okuma doğruluğunun artırılmasındaki etkisine, c) OpenDyslexic fontun okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin prozodik okuma düzeylerinin artırılmasındaki etkisine, d) OpenDyslexic fontun okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin okuma düzeylerinin artırılmasındaki etkisine, e) OpenDyslexic fontun okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlama düzeylerinin artırılmasındaki etkisine bakılmıştır. Araştırmaya "Öğrenme Güçlüğü" tanılı ve "Skolastik Becerilerde Karma Tip Bozukluk" alt tanılı üç öğrenci katılmıştır. Katılımcılar 10 yaşında ve dördüncü sınıf düzeyindedir. Araştırmada tek denekli araştırma desenlerinden "Denekler Arası Çoklu Yoklama Modeli" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın deney süreci, iki deney koşulundan oluşmaktadır. Bunlar; başlama düzeyi ve uygulama evresidir. Araştırma sonuçları, okuma güçlüğü olan öğrencilerin okuma akıcılığının ve okuduğunu anlama düzeyinin arttırılmasında OpenDyslexic fontun üç öğrencide de etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Katılımcıların üçünün de okuma hızında, okuma doğruluğunda, prozodik okumalarında ve okuduğunu anlama becerilerinde artış tespit edilmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In this study, the effect of OpenDyslexic font on increasing the reading fluency and reading comprehension skills of students with dyslexia was investigated. For this purpose; a) the effect of OpenDyslexic font on increasing the oral reading speed of students with reading difficulties, b) the effect of OpenDyslexic font on increasing the reading accuracy of students with reading difficulties, c) the effect of OpenDyslexic font on increasing the prosodic reading level of students with reading difficulties, d) the effect of OpenDyslexic font in increasing the reading accuracy of students with reading difficulties, e) the effect of OpenDyslexic font on increasing the reading comprehension levels of students with reading difficulties was examined. Three students with a diagnosis of "Learning Disability" and a sub-diagnosis of Mixed Type Disorder in Scholastic Skills participated in the study. Three students with a diagnosis of LD and a sub-diagnosis of Mixed Type Disorder in Scholastic Skills participated in the study. Participants are 10 years old and fourth grade level. In this research multiple probe design among the single subject research model is used. The experimental process of the research consists of two experimental conditions. These; starting level and application phase. The results of the research show that OpenDyslexic font is effective for all three students in increasing the reading fluency and reading comprehension level of students with reading difficulties. An increase in reading speed, reading accuracy, prosodic reading and reading comprehension skills was detected in all three of the participants. | |
